Privacy policies for Slack integration.
Our service uses the Slack API to facilitate seamless communication between users and our AI chatbot, which in turn interacts with the OpenAI API to generate responses. While this integration enhances the user experience, it also introduces privacy considerations. Information shared in Slack is transmitted to the OpenAI API for processing, which means that while we do not store sensitive data on our end, the data is temporarily handled by both Slack and OpenAI. Both platforms have their own privacy policies and data security measures, ensuring that data is encrypted during transmission and managed according to their compliance guidelines. However, users should remain aware of the types of information shared, as messages sent to the AI could include personal or sensitive content that is subject to Slack's and OpenAI's privacy practices.
Review Slack privacy termsSlack’s privacy policy covers data protection within their platform but explicitly states that it does not apply to third-party applications, such as our service, that integrate through the Slack platform. This means that when users interact with our AI chatbot via Slack, our privacy policy governs how we manage and process their data, not Slack’s. While Slack ensures the security of data within its ecosystem, our integration operates independently, particularly when sending information to the OpenAI API, under our own set of privacy practices.
